The International Division of the National Ski Patrol completed their required annual refresher training from 18-19 November, 2023, in Hintertux, Austria. Over 30 members from across the globe gathered to refresh their First Aid, CPR, and on-the mountain skills over the 2-days session. On the first day, members cycled through multiple first aid refresher stations, including airway management and spinal immobilization (pictured). On the second day, all the patrollers got their skis on - many for the first time this season - and took turns refreshing their alpine patroller skills both on the slopes and with the sled (also pictured). The day the patrollers spent on the slopes had some challenging conditions, including high winds, steady precipitation and visibility that regularly dropped to zero.
